What are this week’s best tech deals? Amazon changes its prices almost daily, so act quickly! This week we put the spotlight on budget-friendly laptops and PCs.
Acer Chromebook 315 CB315-3H-C5PB
Electronics chains always use the start of a new academic and working year to sell out their laptops. Amazon.nl is also participating in this trend, because the web store has a lot of Chromebooks from different brands on sale. Take this heavily discounted model from Acer, for example. With the Chromebook 315 you get a machine with a Full HD screen of 15.6 inches for less than two hundred euros.
Thanks to the QWERTY keyboard with numerical section, you can easily work out reports and other documents with this system. The existing Intel Celeron N4100 processor in combination with 4 GB of RAM is sufficient to perform basic tasks, such as document processing, internet, e-mail and video streaming. Chrome OS works primarily with cloud applications from Google. For that reason, only 32 GB of local storage is available. You can expand the storage capacity via four USB ports and the microSD card reader. According to Acer, the battery lasts up to 12.5 hours.

HP Chromebook 14a-na0220nd
Cheap Chromebooks usually have an Intel Celeron processor. This HP 14a-na0220nd has slightly more computing power with the Pentium Silver N5030. Four cores perform at a clock frequency of 1.1 GHz, but there are also possible outliers to 3.1 GHz. There are also 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of local eMMC storage. The good thing is that the system works on the basis of passive cooling. Due to the lack of fans, the machine is very quiet.
The Chromebook includes a 14-inch anti-glare Full HD screen. Thanks to the use of an IPS panel, the colors look natural and you benefit from good viewing angles. In addition to the keyboard, audio drivers from the Danish audio brand Bang & Olufsen have been incorporated into the housing on two sides.

At the time of writing, Amazon.nl is the only (web) store that sells this Chromebook for less than two hundred euros. The dark blue housing is slim, making the system only 1.4 kilograms in weight. Despite the low weight, the laptop contains a spacious 14-inch screen with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels. It is nice that the monitor has an anti-reflective coating.
The integrated Intel Celeron N4020 chipset is well suited for basic tasks such as document processing, internet and e-mail. Under the hood, there are 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of eMMC storage. For connecting peripherals, there are four USB ports on the sides, a microSD card reader and a 3.5mm sound output. Lenovo claims that the battery lasts about ten hours with normal use.

The HP Pavilion 13-bb0200nd is an ideal notebook for on the go. The matte 13.3-inch screen has thin edges, so you can effortlessly take the compact housing with you to a meeting or lecture. The weight is only 1.24 kilos. On the basis of the Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor, there is also a lot of computing power available. Four computing cores achieve a clock speed of 4.2 GHz in turbo mode. Thanks to 8 GB of DDR4 memory and a 256 GB NVMe SSD, you can be sure that Windows 10 Home will start up in no time.
