According to recent rumors Apple’s first foldable iPhone will be unveiled in September, but retail availability won’t follow until later this year. Analysts suggest the ‘iPhone Fold’ will launch alongside the iPhone 18 Pro models, with deliveries possibly not starting until December.

This news comes from Barclays analyst Tim Long, who, based on supply chain sources, is talking about a shipping delay, similar to the iPhone X in 2017 that came months after the iPhone 8. The foldable iPhone would not immediately be available for pre-order or purchase, but only towards the end of the year.

Apple releases security update 26.3.1 (a) – manual installation may be required

Apple has released a special security update for iOS 26.3.1, iPadOS 26.3.1, and macOS Tahoe 26.3.1 (or 26.3.2). This ‘Background Security Improvements’ with version number 26.3.1 (a) fixes a critical WebKit issue and will normally install automatically.

This is the very first public version of these background updates, which Apple introduced in Software Updates 26 to enable quick security fixes between major updates. Although the installation normally takes place automatically, the update has not yet been carried out on many devices after a few days. You can check whether you still need to install the update manually.
