I wonder if infrasonic sounds have an effect on humans. What’s going on in their brains? Is there something going on with their heartbeat?

Answer
Infrasound is sound with a frequency lower than 20 hertz, which is no longer perceptible to our hearing. But that doesn’t mean they can’t be a nuisance. Due to their low frequencies they can bring certain body parts into resonance. The body vibrates like a jelly pudding. The consequences can be seasickness, nausea and movement disorders. Prolonged exposure to high intensities also causes damage to the spine.
