WhatsApp will release an update in the coming weeks that will make the chats in the app a lot clearer. You need to know this.
This new feature makes WhatsApp more organized
WhatsApp regularly releases new updates that further improve the app on your iPhone. Some updates solve existing problems, sometimes they add new features that make the app more efficient or clearer, for example. In this case the latter applies.
WhatsApp believes that opening the app and finding the right conversation should be quick and easy. Because people are using WhatsApp more and more, there are more and more conversations, making the whole thing somewhat confusing. It is therefore more important than ever that people can quickly find the right conversations. The new update of WhatsApp should help to make the app a bit clearer.
New chat filters for your chats
WhatsApp wants to make the app clearer by adding new chat filters in the upcoming update. Thanks to these filters, you no longer have to scroll through your full inbox. You can choose between three filters that appear at the top of your chat list: All, Unread and Groupswhich you can select with one tap:
- All: This is the default view with all your messages.
- Unread: Useful if you want to see which conversations you haven’t read yet or still need to answer. You’ll see messages you’ve marked as unread or haven’t opened yet.
- Groups: Here you will see all your group chats in one place, making it much easier to find your favorite group chats. Subgroups of Communities are also shown here.
WhatsApp believes that the chat filters will make the app clearer and allow people to find their most important conversations more quickly. In any case, navigating through the messages should become more efficient. The new feature will be available to everyone in the coming weeks. What do you think of this new feature? Useful or wasted developer effort?
