WhatsApp will soon (finally) let you withdraw your messages

Have you sent a WhatsApp message that you immediately regret? You can remove it later. WhatsApp is said to be testing an improved removal option.

Deleting WhatsApp messages possible soon

If you currently send a WhatsApp message, there is no way to undo it. Although the messaging service has a delete button, the sent text, image or video is only deleted from your own smartphone. The message will remain with the recipient, even in the notifications. That will soon change, it has been discovered WABetaInfo.

WhatsApp will soon (finally) let you withdraw your messages

This Twitter user has often shared new WhatsApp features in the past before they are officially launched. A new screenshot shows how sent messages were withdrawn, and then replaced by the text ‘This message was deleted’. This means that a deleted message not only disappears from the conversation window, but can also no longer be traced via the notifications.

Although it is a screenshot of an Android smartphone, it is obvious that the feature will soon work on all versions of WhatsApp, including iOS. WhatsApp itself has not yet responded to the leaked image.

When the option is available to everyone, it remains to be seen. WhatsApp often experiments with new functions that ultimately do not make it to the finish line. Moreover, this option is not yet available in the WhatsApp Beta app, but is only tested by a select group of users. This suggests that the developers are first looking at whether the function can be implemented at all. Similarly, the poison function was also gradually tested and then released.
