I would like more information about the harvest yield (ton/ha) of various agricultural crops in Flanders. Where can I go for that? Can this be done online?
Answer
Best,
You will not find such information easily on the net. I advise you to just visit a farmer and ask what you want to know. Most farmers know what they yield from many crops. There is also often a big difference between the years and between the different farmers.
To help you, I already give some (average) values:
winter wheat: 9 tons of grain/ha
potato: 40 tons of grain/ha
fodder beet: 100 tons of beets/ha
silage maize: 16 tons of dry matter/ha
grain maize: 12 tons of grain/ha
