Where can I go on vacation?

Curious to which countries you are not allowed to enter because of corona or do you want to know whether planning a holiday is already possible? Check the travel advice from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Simply traveling abroad is not self-evident in times of corona. The number of infections in a country can rise quickly, possibly resulting in a negative travel advice. As a result, it may be unclear to which countries you can safely go on holiday. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs therefore provides additional information about corona on the travel advice page, in addition to the normal travel advice.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs draws up travel advice for countries worldwide. This allows Dutch travelers to prepare for any risks during their trip and stay. Not just in times of the coronavirus. For example, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also reports strikes, demonstrations, serious crime or natural disasters. But also if, for example, withdrawing money is a problem.

The information about travel can be found on the website of the ministry and in the Travel App BZ. Both also provide advice and contact information in case something goes wrong while traveling, for example if your passport is stolen. The app has the added feature that you can easily sign up for mail updates should the situation in a country change.

Download the Travel App BZ in the Play Store (Android) or in the App Store (iOS). Need help downloading an app? Then read the tip ‘Download an app from the Play Store (Android)’ or the tip ‘Download an app from the App Store’.

Information about countries marked as favorite can also be viewed offline, but the information will not be updated until your device is connected to the Internet.

The travel advice from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs remains an advice and is therefore not binding. Travelers and tour operators can decide for themselves what they do with it. If you nevertheless decide to travel to a country with a negative travel advice, check whether this may have consequences for the coverage of your travel insurance.
