I photographed this dragonfly last summer in southern France. However, I have still not been able to identify these. Can you do this based on this photo?

Answer
Dear Maxime,
it concerns a wandering dragonfly (Sympetrum fonscolombii).
The animal can be recognized by the thick black-rimmed pterostigma (wing spot near the wing tip), the colored wing veins (yellowish, which become conspicuously red in adult males), the yellow spot on the base of the hind wing and the blue eye lower edge (well visible on the photo by the way).
The species is common in the south, has a rapid larval development and occurs with us in invasion years.
