Most animals have an inconspicuous color to be as inconspicuous as possible to predators. In Europe, black and white camouflage is of no use, is it?

I don’t think we should see the color of their fur as a camouflage technique, since European cows have long ceased to be wild animals. They owe their color rather by chance to the many selective crossings that have preceded to obtain a suitable variety. Wild bovines traditionally have an even, often dark color.
Not really useful, but nice to look at.
