Pride Amsterdam has been going on all week, but the highlight is of course the Canal Parade. No fewer than eighty boats will sail through the canals of Amsterdam on Saturday from 12:30 pm. It is a festive, but also busy day. With these apps you are in any case well prepared. Have fun and keep an eye on your iPhone as pickpockets are active every year.
Pride Amsterdam
With the official Pride Amsterdam app you have the entire Pride Amsterdam program in your pocket. Think of information about the boats, the ambassadors and of course the street parties. The app is not very extensive, because the various parts simply link to pages on the website. However, there are a lot of videos in the app to watch in preparation, or if you can’t be there yourself.
Google Maps
For the exact route of the Canal Parade, Google Maps is an excellent option. Google shows worldwide where Pride parades are held and that is no different with the Canal Parade. In the app, the route is again clearly indicated this year with a rainbow ribbon. It is a long route, so there is somewhere to see everything well.
Happn
Do you click with someone during this event, but do you lose sight of each other because of the crowds? If you have both installed the dating app Happn, you can always find each other again and get in touch. On a day when love is celebrated, you might find your own love. If you are busy looking, you can of course also use apps like Tinder and grindr to download.
NPO Start
This year NPO 3 will broadcast the entire parade live. If you can’t come to Amsterdam, you can just watch it at home. This can easily be done, for example, via the NPO Start app. Of course you can also just turn on the television.
Pride Edition Apple Watch
If you want to get to the event in style, the new Pride Edition Apple Watch band is a good option. Not only does the new band look excellent, but a portion of the proceeds will go to various LGBTQ organizations. So you can do some good with it too. The strap is for sale for 59 euros in the Apple Store. Don’t forget to activate the special Pride dial, because it flows nicely with the lines of the strap.
Pride month
In fact, June was already Pride month worldwide. That’s why you don’t hear many international companies about this event this week. That was different earlier this year.
