There have been some complaints from iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus owners. The battery percentage at the top of the screen is not refreshed. Apple has recognized this problem.
Users who have enabled the battery percentage on their device sometimes see it hang. It then seems as if the battery of the iPhone is much fuller than it actually is. This would mainly occur with people who have an iPhone 6S or iPhone 6S Plus.
This is how you solve the iPhone 6S battery percentage problem
The problem has since been recognized by Apple. The company has on its own website offered a temporary solution. This is for people to use until Apple has investigated the matter and offers a fix. Are you one of those users with an iPhone 6S battery percentage that lingers? Then do the following:
- Restart your iPhone;
- Go to the ‘Settings’ app;
- Choose ‘General’ and then ‘Date and time’;
- Check if the slider behind ‘Set automatically’ is green.
According to Apple, this should help get the percentage back on track. However, it does not guarantee that it will never occur again, hence it is a temporary fix. You may have to do this more often.
Set battery percentage
By default, Apple delivers iPhones where the percentage next to the battery icon at the top right of the screen is turned off. If you prefer to see it, you can turn it on manually. You do this by going to ‘Settings’, choosing ‘Battery’ and then setting the slider behind ‘Battery percentage’ to green.
