Popular password manager 1Password introduces 1Password X, a way to quickly find your passwords in any Chrome web browser without an additional app.
1Password X for your browser
1Password X is a browser extension that allows you to manage all your passwords for online services. The extension offers what you expect from 1Password. On websites you can easily choose the correct login and if you create a new account somewhere, the extension will immediately propose a password. At the moment 1Password X can only be used via Chrome, later support for Safari, Firefox and Edge will be added so that you can really find your passwords everywhere.
After installing the extension all you have to do is enter your master password and you’re done. You no longer need a separate app.
There are also new features
AgileBits has added a number of new features compared to old extensions. For example, it is possible to navigate with a keyboard and there is a smart search engine. 1Password X also works with two-factor authentication codes.
A small detail: unlike the iPhone X, which you pronounce as iPhone 10, you pronounce Password X as you write it.
Also on other systems, later more browsers
Since 1Password X is a Chrome extension, it also works on other systems such as Linux and Chrome OS. This is useful if you ever change systems and want to keep using your passwords stored in the cloud.
