Last year
Last year, Apple did not stunt with discounts on its smartphones (although there were web shops that did take a few tens from the latest iPhone), but with gift cards. We expect that again this year, especially because the new iPhone 12 models have just been released. An iPhone 11 could just become cheaper than it is now.
Samsung often stunts with prices, and the more famous models of that brand were also on sale last year. For example, you got a 50 euro discount on the Galaxy S10 +. Other brands offering discounts last year were OnePlus, Xiaomi and Sony.
This year
Actually, we expect exactly the same this year, but with the models of a generation later. The Samsung Galaxy S20 is now more than six months old, so he is starting to qualify for a nice Black Friday discount. We know from Apple that price decreases are scarce, but pay attention to the somewhat smaller discounts at the web shops and gift card promotions from Apple itself.
OnePlus has released more than a handful of new smartphones in the past year, and it’s certainly not inconceivable that some of them will go on sale during Black Friday. We have high expectations for the OnePlus Nord and the OnePlus 8, which already has a small price drop now and then.
