Sporty model at the dealers early next year
Volkswagen Taigo
Early 2022 state in the Volkswagenshowroom the new Taigo. The sporty SUV coupé, which incorporates all the strengths of the Polo and T-Cross, will be named Taigo.
Volkswagen introduces the Volkswagen Taigo for the European market. Earlier we saw its Brazilian brother Volkswagen Nivus, the European version has been adapted to details. This way the Taigo gets all the strengths of the Polo and T-Cross. And its own appearance, as a sporty SUV coupe with sloping roofline.
The outwardly compact tiger has a wheelbase of 2.57 meters. For example, five people can still fit in it, plus their luggage up to a maximum of 438 liters. The SUV is 4.26 meters long, 1.76 meters wide and 1.49 meters high. Optionally, a towbar can be ordered. Then the Taiga effortlessly lugs a trailer of (depending on the motorization) 1,000 or 1,200 kg of braked weight.
The front-wheel drive VW Taiga can be ordered at the end of this year with a 1.0 TSI petrol engine of 95 hp or 110 hp. The coupé crossover comes with a manual gearbox as standard. But it is also available with a seven-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission. Prices will follow later this year.
Versions
We can already reveal that the Taiga is equipped with assistance systems from the higher car segments. This allows the SUV at level 2 to drive semi-autonomously. The infotainment is fully digitized, always on-line and the driver has access to the services of We Connect. Updates come ‘over the air’. Convenience serves people.
