OnePlus and composer Hans Zimmer team up for impressive sound

Technology company OnePlus has partnered with multi-award-winning film score composer Hans Zimmer. Within the collaboration, Hans Zimmer will personally tune the Master Equalizer – also known as EQ – of the new OnePlus Buds Pro 2 to ensure maximum listening pleasure for users. Hans Zimmer, composer of the beautiful soundtracks of movie hits such as Dune, Interstellaer, Top Gun: Maverick and the Batman trilogy, is known for pushing past the existing boundaries when it comes to sound.

Master Equalizer: Soundscape
Equalizers are tools that allow users to adjust the sound signature of earbuds or speakers themselves. This allows you to shape the audio to your own taste by changing certain settings, such as boosting the bass or making the treble clearer. Hans Zimmer’s Master Equalizer for the OnePlus Buds Pro 2, called ‘Soundscape’, has fewer low frequencies than usual and a clearer and wider sound field. This allows users to enjoy both the full orchestral music of a classical symphony and the multidimensional sound of an action movie. This way everyone can hear the complex and delicate nuances of film music in their full glory and better feel the emotional impact of the music.

Musical masterpiece
As part of the collaboration with OnePlus, Hans Zimmer also re-arranged the piece ‘Lost but Won’, part of the original soundtrack for the hit movie Rush, to integrate Spatial Audio into the track. Using a range of sound reproduction technologies, spatial audio enables listeners to perceive sound around them, without the need for a dedicated multi-speaker setup.
