Philips Hue has released the new Philips Hue Sync TV app for Samsung TVs, so that your Hue lights are in sync with movies, series and games on your Samsung TV. Philips Hue has also announced the Hue Resonate and Tap dial.

Signify is the company behind the Philips Hue smart lighting and has a wide range of smart LED lamps, lighting fixtures, sensors and smart switches. We regularly test Philips Hue products, such as the Hue Festavia and the Hue Play Gradient Lightstrip 32-34” Starter kit. It recently announced new products including the Philips Hue Sync TV app for Samsung TVs. Other new introductions include the Philips Hue Resonate outdoor wall light and the Philips Hue Tap dial switch, which will soon be available with a new round mini holder. There is also news about the previously announced Philips Hue Go portable table lamp.

Philips Hue Sync TV app for Samsung TV
The Philips Hue Sync TV app for Samsung TVs should brighten up your image experience with a Samsung TV. This new paying app (don’t be shocked by the price: € 129.99!!) synchronizes your Philips Hue lighting with everything that is shown on your Samsung TV. Think, for example, while gaming or watching a movie, even via native apps such as Netflix and Disney +. This is one of the main advantages of the Philips Hue Sync TV app over the existing Philips Hue Play HDMI sync box, which doesn’t allow you to sync with smart TV apps. In fact, it is a new way of surround lighting that we know from Philips Ambilight TVs.
For example, the new Philips Hue Sync TV app offers various customization options: users can set the intensity of the sync experience, adjust the brightness of the lamps, select the video or game mode, enable auto-start, and more. You can create the best home cinema experience by creating an entertainment zone in the Philips Hue app on your mobile device – this way you can select the lights you want to sync and then drag them to the correct position and height relative to your TV. The app supports all image formats such as 8K, 4K and HDR 10+.

Samsung TVs suitable
The Philips Hue Sync TV app is downloadable on 2022 and newer Samsung QLED TVs in the Q60 range or higher. The app can be purchased and downloaded on individual TVs from the Samsung TV app store. For other TV brands, the Philips Hue Play HDMI synchronization box can be used, which you can connect to your TV with an HDMI cable, with the difference that it cannot be synchronized with smart TV apps.

Hue Resonate and Tap dial
Furthermore, more new Philips Hue products were announced, such as the Philips Hue Resonate wall lamp. This has a sleek black design and provides warm to cool white and colored light that shines down into any outdoor space. The wall lamp can add color to porches or patios or create a warm welcome for guests when placed near the front door. The light can be narrowed with the included clip to personalize the look of the light triangle, great for narrower walls or pillars. (text continues below the image)

The Philips Hue Tap dial switch is now available with a new round mini holder as an alternative to the square wall mount. The mini mount is smaller than the standard mount and also gives you the flexibility to mount the wireless remote anywhere: on the wall like a regular light switch, on cabinets or on magnetic surfaces like the fridge.
