In-depth without becoming obscure

In the game your goal is to build a city while maintaining balance. This way you can easily start building different zones to live, work and spend money. Then you have to think about energy, water and whether the traffic flows smoothly. There must also be enough police stations, fire brigade locations and hospitals.

If you choose the normal mode, you will get more and more options by playing. For example, at a certain point you get the option to create a bus depot, after which you reduce car traffic at specific locations via bus stops. Or you can build parking garages close to buildings that attract a lot of public. The options continue to expand through playing, without it becoming confusing.

Motivation through quests

Playing a little with a city is fun, but sometimes you just need a little more guidance. Pocket City offers this in the form of quests. Through these assignments you are constantly challenged in new ways to improve your city, to go on a quest or to do something wrong.

These assignments are quite diverse. For example, you may be asked to zoom in on someone doing yoga in your city. Either you have to increase the satisfaction with recreation in your city to one hundred percent, or increase the tax so that your residents become dissatisfied. A natural disaster can also bring some life to the brewery and secretly earns some money too.

No in-app purchases and energy system

The best thing about this game is that there are no in-app purchases whatsoever. In addition, there is also no energy system. So you don’t have to wait to continue playing until your energy is replenished (which you can often fill in other games with an in-app purchase). You buy the game for a few euros and you have many hours of fun without ever having to spend more money.
