Review Philips OLED TV 55OLED909/12

In addition to a great 4K image, this TV has all the facilities that you can expect. The screen is thin (4 mm), but runs up to 57 mm at the bottom due to the housing of the electronics and connections. Ambilight is adjustable to all four sides and give an equal color radiation in the image, so that you are dragged into the viewing experience. The bottom bar can be switched off at standing placement.

The peak clearance of this model is considerably increased. In combination with the advanced P5 AI image technology, the 909 impressive performance with vibrant colors and sharp detailed view delivers, even with SDR view and under varying lighting conditions. HDR10, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision offer even more intense image quality.

In collaboration with Bowers & Wilkins, a 3.1-channel sound system with 8 speakers and a capacity of 81 W has been developed. It offers a more dynamic sound reproduction than the average TV. As long as none surround-Requiring, the listener will certainly be satisfied.

The TV has various connections: 2x HDMI 2.1 with 1x EARC, 2x HDMI 2.0, 2x USB-A, CI+, LAN and Coax. Wireless is communicated via Wi-Fi 6 and BT 5.2. Gaming lovers will enjoy 120Hz and 140Hz-VRR image change and support for Dolby Vision Game HDR, Allm and Vrr.

The energy consumption is 0.3 W in standby and approximately 85W/105W SDR/HDR operational. This is slightly more than an average OLED screen, but you also get extra brightness.
