Skoda warms us up for the electric SUV that will arrive in showrooms next year, the Enyaq. We already introduce you to the specifications of the model and show you the first teasers.

This will be ’em then, the Skoda Enyaq. The images show an electric SUV no less than 4,648 meters long. In the back there is room for 585 liters of luggage space. The top version can also be used as a towing vehicle with a maximum weight of 1,200 kg. The car gets a central display of 13 inches, which can be combined with the Head-Up Display as desired.

The Enyaq will be Skoda’s first model on the MEB platform, the base plate of parent company Volkswagen for electric motorizations. The flexibility of this platform makes it possible to build many different versions and that is what the Czech brand does.

Rear wheel and four wheel drive

The basic versions, like the Skodas of yesteryear, get rear-wheel drive. The entry-level Enyaq has a 109 kW (comparable to 146 hp) electric motor and a 55 kWh battery pack. According to the WLTP measurement, the (still indicative) range is a nice 340 km. With the 132 kW motor and 62 kWh battery, the range rises to 390 km, while the next model goes up to 500 km thanks to the 150 kW (200 hp) power source and the battery of 82 kWh.

The other versions have a second electric motor on the front axle, allowing the Enyaq to be four-wheel drive. There are versions of 195 kW and 225 kW (over 300 hp) strong. Both are equipped with an 82 kWh battery pack with a range of up to 460 km. The strongest Enyaq can complete the 0-100 km / h sprint in 6.2 seconds if desired.

The youngest of the Skoda’s iV family – the electrified models – can be connected to a fast charger. Charging from 10 to 80 percent power with a 125 kW charger is expected to take 40 minutes. You can charge the battery in 6 to 8 hours via a 230 Volt connection or wallbox.

Showroom in early 2021

Production of the Skoda Enyaq will start at the end of this year. First comes the exclusive Founder’s Edition, which celebrates the foundation of the brand in 1895. In the Netherlands, the SUV arrives in the showroom in early 2021. By then we can report the prices.
