A robust-looking all-rounder seems to be popular. The Suzuki Jimny was appreciated for its tough looks and terrain skills and the brand new firstborn from Ineos is also popular. Worldwide, 15,000 orders have already been placed for the Ineos Grenadier.
It’s been a while since Ineos presented the Grenadier, but you don’t see it in large numbers on the road yet. That is not surprising, the very young car brand of Ineos Group has been busy converting the former Smart factory in Hambach, France into a production facility. In France, Ineos will produce the Grenadier, a rugged-looking off-road hero that builds on the (design) philosophy of cars such as the previous Land Rover Defender and the G-class from Mercedes-Benz. In April this year, Ineos will reveal all prices and specifications, but even before all the finishing touches have been made, 15,000 orders for the Grenadier have already been placed.
Series production of the Ineos Grenadier is due to start in July. The approximately 4.95 meter long Grenadier was developed together with Magna Steyr as a new model, but as far as we know it will receive technology from BMW. For example, the car will be available with 3.0-litre six-in-line diesel and petrol engines. A ZF automatic transmission with eight speeds transfers the power to the wheels. As mentioned, detailed details will follow later.
