As founder of ceramics company Althea and the Althea Racing Team, Genesio Bevilacqua has a huge passion for collecting motorcycles, which eventually led in 2017 to the private museum Moto dei Miti in Civita Castellana, a stone’s throw from the Italian capital Rome.

Although the museum has recently expanded, Bevilacqua has decided to offer 27 bikes from his collection for auction, including the 2011 Carlos Checa 1198 F11, but also Davide Giugliano’s 1198 F12 and one of Raffaele De Rosa’s 2016 BMW S 1000 RR. ‘and.

All bikes in Genesio Bevilacqua’s collection are race-ready, serviced in the museum’s workshop by mechanics with years of racing experience and recently ridden by Genesio and others.

The auction, which will see more than 100 bikes under the hammer, will take place at Genesio’s Moto dei Miti private museum and be organized by Bonhams – a first for the British auction house.
