Almost as strong as 911 Turbo
The Porsche 911 Carrera GTS has once again nestled in the 911 range, according to tradition, between the 911 Carrera S and 911 Turbo. The car now receives a power cure that approaches the muscle power of the 911 Turbo.
In mid-2021, Porsche completed the 911 range with the 911 Carrera GTS. Where the Carrera S has a 450 hp biturbo 3.0 six-cylinder boxer engine, the 911 Carrera GTS produces 480 hp and 570 Nm. With this, the GTS neatly fills the gap between the aforementioned Carrera S and Turbo. After all, the Porsche 911 Turbo has a 580 hp and 740 Nm strong double blown 3.8 six-cylinder engine in the back. The German tuner Techart gives the Carrera GTS a power injection, with the result that the power gap between the GTS and the Turbo has been closed considerably.
Techart rewrites the engine management system of the Porsche 911 Carrera GTS, increasing the power by 80 hp and 100 Nm to 560 hp and 670 Nm. The Porsche 911 Carrera GTS, which has been tackled by Techart, completes a sprint from standstill to a speed of 100 km/h in 3.1 seconds, 0.3 seconds faster than the original. The top speed after the power cycle is 320 km/h. The extra power can be activated using a button on the steering wheel, the extra Techart power can only be used in the Sport and Sport Plus driving modes.
Porsche 911 GTS Techart
Tuner Techart is not the craziest and also screws other light metal under the 911 Carrera GTS. The wheels measure 20 inches at the front and 21 inches at the rear. Techart has, among other things, a coilover ready that puts the Porsche 1.5 to 4 centimeters closer to the asphalt. You can also knock on the door of the company for an extensive range of spoilers, lips and edges to enhance the appearance of the 911 GTS. Even a GT3-style rear spoiler is on the order list. Of course, the entire interior can be adjusted to taste. If desired, Techart even unscrews the rear seat of the Porsche 911 Carrera GTS to replace a roll cage.
