Motorola presents a smartphone with a roll-out or roll-up screen, a nice innovative concept to see. He will probably be called Rizr.

During the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Motorola will show a beautiful new concept. Where other manufacturers such as Samsung and Oppo have collapsible and foldable models, Lenovo subsidiary Motorola comes with a smartphone with a roll-out screen. He doesn’t officially have a name yet, but maybe it will be Rizr as shown on the back. Rizr is then pronounced as reiser or riser in English rise. (text continues below the image)

Motorola Rizr name

Motorola Rizr smartphone with roll-out screen
Motorola already has foldable smartphones with Razr, of course, but offers a nice alternative with this new smartphone with a roll-out screen. Normally, this Motorola smartphone has a 5.0-inch screen, but when it is rolled out, you have a 6.5-inch screen at your disposal. Handy if you want to type a message, for example: the screen then automatically moves upwards and a keyboard appears in the ‘extra’ space below. We also see this when you want to watch a video: if you hold the smartphone horizontally during a video, the screen will also become larger.
gestures are also not missing from this Motorola smartphone: you can open the camera by turning your wrist. Manually, the screen rolls out when you press the power button at the top of the right side twice. I found that button a bit difficult to operate due to the special case that Motorola has around it. This is of course to protect him well and he does that well. The rolled-out part is obviously not protected by the case. Motorola has devised a few things to prevent damage to the retractable part: when you call, the screen rolls up again.

Price, video and availability
This Motorola smartphone with a roll-out screen is a nice concept, but the big questions are whether it will come to the market, what the price will be and with what name. Only the latter we can guess with the name Rizr. The video of how it rolls out will be available soon.
