Still considerably cheaper than ID3

Recently MG implemented a price increase on almost all of its models. Only the very young MG 4 Electric managed to escape the dance at the time, but now that model has also become more expensive.
The MG 4 Electric will be €1,500 more expensive across the board. That means that the starting price of MG’s electric price packer will increase from €30,785 to €32,285. That amount is for the Standard basic version. The MG 4 Electric Comfort and Luxury are also becoming more expensive. They cost €35,785 and €37,785 respectively. The MG 4 Electric in Standard trim has a 170 hp electric motor and a 51 kWh battery pack. The other two versions are more powerful with 204 hp and have a larger battery pack (65 kWh).
New prices MG 4 Electric
Performance | Electric motor | Battery pack | Range | From price |
MG 4 Electric Standard | 170 hp | 51 kWh | 350 kilometers | €32,285 |
MG 4 Electric Comfort | 204 hp | 65 kWh | 450 kilometers | €35,785 |
MG 4 Electric Luxury | 204 hp | 65 kWh | 435 kilometers | €37,785 |
No surprise
Earlier in February, MG already implemented a price increase of €1,500 on all its other models. That the MG 4 Electric is also becoming more expensive is therefore no huge surprise. The Volkswagen ID3 is currently only available as a Pro, so with a 204 hp electric motor and 58 kWh battery. The starting price of that car is €45,990. This ID3 will soon be facelifted. We expect the ID3 Pure with a 45 kWh battery and 150 hp electric motor to return. That engine version was previously in the order books for about 38 grand and it is unlikely that it will suddenly cost less when it returns. The MG 4 Electric therefore also seems to remain cheaper than the ID3.
