First Tesla factory south of US

Tesla is going to build a new gigantic factory in Mexico. That says none other than Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
There seems to be no limit to the growth ambitions of Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk. At the beginning of this year, it invested more than €3.3 billion in its Gigafactory in the US state of Nevada and it has now become known that the brand has another gigantic factory in the pipeline. It will not come to the United States, Europe or China, but to Mexico.
Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador says Tesla will build a new large factory in or near the city of Monterrey. The construction of the factory involves an investment of almost €1 billion, reports Reuters. Tesla has not yet released the plans itself, but that may change later today. Recycled water is said to be used in the production process of cars in the factory. The Mexican president himself previously questioned the arrival of a Tesla factory in connection with a possible water shortage in the region.
