According to plan

A new CEO will take office at Subaru in June. Tamomi Nakamura then makes way for Atsushi Osaki.
Atsushi Osaki (60, photo 1) is still Executive Vice President at Subaru and ultimately responsible for the production department. At the general shareholders’ meeting scheduled for June, Osaki – his first name reportedly has nothing to do with what was on his plate last night – will be appointed.
Nakamura, who will soon step down, has not been at the helm at Subaru for very long. He was appointed in 2018, after predecessor Yasuyuki Yoshinaga reportedly messed around with consumption figures. However, according to Subaru, the switch after five years is exactly on schedule and is part of the plan to keep up with the major changes that the automotive world is currently experiencing with a fresh company structure and management vision. We all know what it is all about: electrification. Subaru is indeed doing well with this, as it turned out recently.
