Too early for April 1?

The Belgian branch of Audi puts on the fun pants and comes with the Car Plant. That is not a car factory, but a plant for the car. If it is up to Audi, we will all have a succulent plant on the dashboard in the future.
Audi’s Belgian PR machine is launching an extensive photo series of a bunch of succulents on the dashboard of a Q8 e-tron into the world. We see four different succulents in a specially developed ‘plant holder’. The plant holder consists of four rings, with the succulent housed in the pot receiving a spot in the fourth ring. According to Audi, the Car Plant – with which it says it has collaborated with the Belgian floral artist and flower arrangement designer Daniël Ost – meets the wish of about a quarter of Belgian car owners to have more nature in the car.

We will not talk about the forward view.
Audi says it has conducted research among 2,000 Belgians into the way in which car owners personalize the interior. For example, 13 percent say they hang all kinds of ornaments on the interior mirror and 11 percent of the respondents put their own floor mats in the car. 24 percent of car owners would like more natural in the car, according to Audi. The advantage of a plant in the car? According to Audi, plants reduce stress levels, improve mood and even make drivers more attentive. Audi even brings out the function of plants as air purifiers to justify the Car Plant. For the sake of convenience, Audi does not talk about obstruction of the forward view.
An early April Fool’s joke, just a smart idea or a bit of both?
