In China, Zeekr has released more information about the Zeekr X. The Zeekr X is a new electric crossover from Volvo’s parent company Geely that is also interesting for the Dutch market. The Zeekr X is also coming to Europe!
Volvo’s parent company Geely has numerous brands in its portfolio, some of which it currently supplies in Europe and the Netherlands. Of course we mention Volvo, but also Lynk & Co, Lotus and Polestar. Zeekr is a relatively young brand of the Chinese giant and with that brand it will soon set foot on European soil. The Zeekr X will be the brand’s first car to come to our part of the world and it is that electric crossover that Zeekr has released more information about in China.
Zeek X
Zeekr gives more information about the Zeekr X step by step. It first released the appearance, later showed the interior and now that the car has really been presented to the Chinese consumer, we now also have more technical specifications of the model. They are not only interesting for the Zeekr X, but also for the new smaller electric Volvo that will be unveiled this year. The Zeekr X is a technical sister model of the Volvo EX30. Both models are on the SEA platform. The Smart #1 and the yet to be revealed Smart #3, which can already be viewed extensively on AutoWeek, also make use of this.
The Zeekr X has a starting price of more than €25,000 in China. That price is for the Zeekr X with a 272 hp electric motor that helps the EV to a speed of 100 km / h in 5.8 seconds. That version has a 66 kWh battery pack in its bottom, good for an electric range of up to 560 kilometers. Please note that this is measured according to the CLTC method, which often works out more favorably than the WLTP method used for European homologation. Higher up the ladder is a 428 hp variant that spears to a speed of 100 km / h in just 3.7 seconds and squeezes up to 512 CLTC kilometers on a full 66 kWh battery. The Zeekr X is 4.45 meters long, 1.84 meters wide and 1.57 meters high. It has a wheelbase of 2.75 meters. This makes it 18 centimeters longer than the Smart #1. The empty weight of the basic version is 1,840 kilograms.
Zeek X
Zeekr would make the crossing to Europe at the end of this year. Zeekr would include a brand new electric sedan that is internally referred to as CS1E. With that car, Zeekr most likely wants to sink its teeth into the success of the Tesla Model 3. The Zeekr 001 may also come to Europe. That car was initially intended as a model for Lynk & Co and has been for sale in China for a while. Zeekr also has a large electric MPV in its Chinese delivery range in the form of the 009.
