To 13 years over and out

It is over and out in the Netherlands for the Audi A7 Sportback. The slick-lined liftback disappears from the Dutch market and with that, after about thirteen years, the Dutch A7 adventure comes to an end.
Bad news for those who are in the market for a new Audi A7 Sportback that you can put together down to the smallest details in the Dutch configurator. The Audi A7 Sportback is no longer supplied in the Netherlands, the Dutch importer confirms to AutoWeek. You can still get a new A7 Sportback, but the choice is limited. Audi only supplies the sporty top model RS7 Sportback from stock and that stock is of course finite.
The Audi A7 Sportback, which was still available until recently, was presented in 2017. Audi also had an A7 Sportback in its range for 2017. In 2010, Audi introduced the very first generation of its slick-lined alternative to cars such as the BMW 6-series Gran Coupé and Mercedes-Benz CLS.
The first generation Audi A7 Sportback (2010 – 2017)
Between 2010 and 2023, 1,801 Audi A7 Sportbacks were registered in the Netherlands over two generations. In its first full sales year – 2011 – the A7 Sportback had its peak year in the Netherlands. In 2011, 721 copies found a Dutch home. In 2012, sales ended at 273 units and in the years that followed, sales mainly declined. In 2014, 99 units found a Dutch owner and in 2015 the model revived slightly. In that year, 114 copies were registered. In 2015 and 2016, the A7 Sportback in our country did not exceed 80 units. The arrival of the second generation A7 Sportback resulted in a small increase in the number of units sold. Where 77 new A7s were registered in 2017, 120 units were registered throughout 2018. The last few years have seen the A7 Sportback’s worst sales years. In 2021, 21 units were registered and in 2022 only 9 units.
