Zeekr has a taste for it
Geely’s Zeekr brand is certainly doing well for a relatively new brand. 1.5 years after Zeekr’s very first production model left the Chinese factory gates, the brand has produced its 100,000th car.
In March 2021, Geely created a new brand: Zeekr. The fact that behind Zeekr is a huge concern has undoubtedly contributed to the fact that Zeekr certainly does not go wrong. 548 days after Zeekr produced its first car in October 2021 – a Zeekr 001 – the brand produced its 100,000th car on April 20.
Zeekr’s first production model – the 001 – started life as a Lynk & Co study model, which explains why the 001 has a remarkably strong Lynk & Co front. The 001 was later joined by the 009, a large electric MPV. The 100,000th car built by Zeekr was therefore such an electric ballroom. The Zeekr X is available as a 272 hp rear-wheel drive and will have a version with two 541 hp electric motors together. The electric range of the more than 2,800 kilos and 5.2 meters long giant should be about 700 kilometers according to the Chinese CLTC cycle.
The recently presented Zeekr X is Zeekr’s third model. During Auto China, Zeekr finally announced its European plans. The Netherlands and Sweden are the first European countries where Zeekr will be displaying its electrical goods. The headquarters of Zeekr establishes Geely in Amsterdam. The Zeekr 001 and the Zeekr X are the first cars of the brand to come this way.
