Automobili Pininfarina announces second model

For the time being, you only know the car brand Automobili Pininfarina from the electric Battista, but that electric hypercar will soon be joined by a second model. It will arrive this summer and is described by the Italians as a limited ‘hyper GT’.

Automobili Pininfarina exists five years this year and that anniversary goes hand in hand with a changing of the guard. At the beginning of this year, the car brand of the Italian design house put forward a new CEO and now the brand is appointing a new Chief Technical Officer and a new Chief Operating Officer. In the fifth year of Automobili Pininfarina, more is about to happen. This summer, the brand will introduce a new model.

The Pininfarina Battista, based on the Croatian super-EV Rimac Nevera, will have a second model next to it later this year. The Italians describe the newcomer as a limited hyper-GT ‘for collectors’ and the undoubtedly fantastic electric colossus has already been photographed, although the cloth that covers the model does not yet show it. The new model will be the first of what Automobili Pininfarina calls ‘a new series’. Nothing is known about the new model yet.

The new CTO and COO of Automobili Pininfarina are not the least. Andrea Crespi, who can now call himself Chief Technical Officer, was already very successful at Aston Martin and Maserati before joining the Italian company in 2018 as ‘ePowertrain and High Voltage Systems Director’. Andrea Novello, now Chief Operating Officer, was already Production Director at Automobili Pininfarina and was previously active at design house Pininfarina and Maserati.
