Spiritual successor to LFA?
During a presentation on Toyota’s performance in the past fiscal year, the brand showed a schedule that partly indicates what it will do in the electrical field through 2026. What seems? For 2026, Toyota or Lexus will come with a fully electric sports car.
Toyota will add two new EVs in the ‘luxury category’ to its delivery range through 2026. Mind you, it could just be two new EVs from Toyota’s luxury brand Lexus. Toyota is also coming – at least in China – with the production versions of its recently shown two electric study models. Toyota has an electric pick-up in the pipeline – the IMV BEV – and will introduce compact electric cars for growth markets. But the best is at the bottom!
Toyota or Lexus will also introduce a fully electric model in the sporty segment. It could just be the production version or a model inspired by the Lexus Electrified Sport that made its digital debut in late 2021 amidst a slew of other future EVs from Toyota and Lexus. If the new sporty EV is indeed an electric supercar-like, then it will be the car that more or less functions as a successor to the Lexus LFA with a howling V10.
