When Harley-Davidson launched the Pan America 1250 two years ago, we were dumbfounded. Not because they had tapped into a segment completely foreign to Harley in Milwaukee, but because they had done it with verve. To let everyone experience this, an HD Pan America Adventure Center has been opened in Belgium.

Harley has called itself the brand of endless adventures around the world for 120 years, and that when it comes to HD, true adventure knows no bounds. And that they certainly don’t let themselves be limited by the end of the paved road.
Strictly speaking, they do have a point there, of course, 120 years ago asphalt did not exist yet and all roads were unpaved – and so all adventurers continuously went on unpaved roads. Nevertheless, for many, the Pan America 1250 was initially experienced as a culture shock. Harley, an Allroad? One that you can really go off-road with.
The answer to both questions was therefore yes and we were able to experience this ourselves in the middle of the COVID pandemic, despite all the restrictions at our eastern neighbors in a special 24-hour event organized entirely in accordance with the COVID guidelines. Otherwise, check out that extensive test again.
Two years later, Harley has gone one step further by opening an HD Pan America Adventure Center in Balen, Belgium. On this 13-hectare off-road terrain, certified instructors teach you the techniques and secrets of smooth and safe off-road driving. And as the name suggests, the Pan America 1250 is of course central.
According to Harley, at the HD Pan America Adventure Center, you’ll learn a full and smartly-thought-out day of riding off-road. The training is open to everyone, whether you are an off-road veteran or have never ridden on unpaved surfaces.
After the reception with coffee and tea, half an hour of theory follows. Then you will put this theory into practice under the guidance of the off-road instructors. After lunch a tour of the area follows, in which you apply what you have learned in real off-road situations. The ride takes about 2.5 hours.
After returning to the terrain you will receive an official HD Pan America Adventure Diploma and you will be ready for anything nature throws at you. The costs for the entire training are 299 euros (incl. VAT), including use of the HD Pan America, lunch and coffee.
The brand new HD Pan America Adventure Center is located in Balen (Belgium), about 20 kilometers from the Dutch border. This unique 13-hectare off-road terrain is the perfect location to learn how to drive on unpaved surfaces.
From single tracks to gravel tracks and ramps, the terrain has everything to help you become a better rider. Moreover, there are countless beautiful off-road roads through the woods in the beautiful Kempen landscape.
