New ‘ultra-premium’ electric sedan from Italy

There’s a new voluptuous electric saloon coming from Italy soon, but we’re not talking about an Alfa Romeo or Lancia model. The brand new Aehra looks ahead to a new electric four-door.

The Italian start-up Aehra is as young as it is ambitious. At the end of last year, the new small company conjured up its first car: an as-yet unnamed electric SUV with a claimed driving range of more than 800 kilometers. The first Aehra has two gull-wing doors, two butterfly doors, an 815 horsepower powertrain and an interior with enough room to house four NBA players. It doesn’t stop with that SUV. The Italians are now looking ahead to an electric sedan and do not seem to be intending to calm down somewhat.

It is not always easy to indicate what makes a car ‘premium’. But Aehra is brimming with confidence, blandly describing its forthcoming electric sedan as “ultra-premium.” According to the Italians, the car is overloaded with design elements that you normally only find on a ‘supercar show car’. “At Aehra, we do not believe in creating study models that are not representative of the final production version,” the company writes. It therefore promises that the production version will look very much like the soon to be revealed study model.

The Aehra ‘Sedan’ will make its public debut on June 16 at the Milano Monza Motor Show. The first units should be delivered in 2026 together with those of the electric SUV.
