For years it has been whispered in the corridors that Alfa Romeo will come up with a compact crossover that will be called Brennero. That car should be on the market in 2024. What seems? Half of that is incorrect. The new little brother of the Tonale will come in 2024 and to be precise even in the first half of that year. But Brennero? That’s not going to be him.
Alfa Romeo says internally to refer to its upcoming small newcomer “Kid” and “The Little One”. This already indicates that the car that the Italians describe as a Sport Urban Vehicle will be a relatively compact model. But how the model should be called? Alfa Romeo also wonders. It asks Alfisten all over the world to help think about a name for the new model. What about Brennero or Brenner? That will definitely not be the case, writes Alfa Romeo.
Count on a compact crossover that you should see as a sister model of cars such as the Jeep Avenger and Peugeot 2008. Alfa Romeo certainly expects a lot from that car. The brand describes the still nameless small Alfa as ‘pioneering’. We already know that the compact crossover will only be available with electric powertrains.
