Own appearance, well-known technique

Fiat is coming this year with a brand new electric crossover. It is called Fiat 600e, can travel up to about 400 kilometers on a full battery and has already been imaged by the Italians before the full unveiling.
At the moment you can already turn to Fiat for the electric 500e and Fiat also has something to offer in terms of commercial vehicles. The electric E-Ducato, E-Scudo and E-Doblò are also on the brand’s Dutch sales lists. The electric 500e will soon have a larger electric model above it. It is called Fiat 600e and is now better than before.
Fiat has in the context of the World Meeting on Human Fraternity shown a video in the Vatican in which the electric Fiat 600e can be seen driving. Earlier, the first photos of the electric Fiat 600e already surfaced, plates that were probably shot from the car when the video now released by Fiat was recorded. Not only the front and rear of the electric crossover appear in the picture, the interior of the 600e can also be seen briefly.
Own face for Fiat 600e
The Fiat 600e will be one of several Stellantis derivatives on the modular E-GMP platform. The crossover is therefore a sister model of cars such as the Peugeot e-2008, DS 3 E-Tense, Opel Mokka Electric and Jeep Avenger. Each of those compact crossovers has its own unique look and Fiat has also worked on the 600e. The Fiat 600e has a recognizable 500-like front and rear and the workplace also shows design-technical similarities with that of the 500e. The Fiat 600e does not share any technology with the much smaller 500e. Where cars such as the aforementioned Peugeot 2008 and Opel Mokka in the form of the 208 and Corsa also have smaller hatchback siblings that use the same platform, the 500e is not on the same basis as the 600e.

Fiat 600
Known technique
For the technology of the 600e – about which Fiat itself has not yet released anything – we must therefore look at the compact crossovers from Opel, Peugeot, Jeep and DS. With the exception of the later Jeep Avenger, all of them have recently been modernized both externally and technically. We therefore dare to say with certainty that the Fiat 600e, just like its Stellantis cousins, will be delivered with a 54 kWh battery pack and a 156 hp powerful electric motor. That combination should be good for an electric range of at least 400 kilometers.
600
The model name 600e does not come out of the blue, of course. From the mid-1950s to the late 1960s, Fiat screwed together the 600 in Turin, a car that got the even smaller 500 – ‘the backpack’ – next to it a few years after its arrival. The Fiat 600 was also available as a 600 Multipla, the car to which the car has now become cult car bombed ribbed MPV from the 1990s takes its name from. Incidentally, the 600 was not only there as a Fiat. Zastava built the model until no less than 1985 as a 750/850, in Spain the 600 left the factory gates as a Seat. In addition, the 600 was built in Argentina, Columbia and Germany (Neckar Jagst).
In the second half of the 1990s, Fiat introduced a successor to the Cinquecento that appeared on the market at the beginning of that decade: the Seicento. Cinquecento of course means ‘500’ in Italian and so Seicento obviously meant ‘600’. Those 600 and Seicento of yesteryear have a distant descendant in this Fiat 600e, although you should rather see the car as a direct successor to the 500X.
