The number of Chinese brands active in the Netherlands is growing steadily. Zeekr from the giant Chinese concern Geely is the next new Chinese brand that focuses entirely on electric cars. It brings the Zeekr X to the Netherlands, of which you can find all specifications and prices here, but also introduces this larger Zeekr 001 to the Dutch market.

Up to 620 kilometers range

The Zeekr 001 has been around for a while in China and is now also being marketed in the Netherlands. It is a 4.96 meter long five-door hatchback with a large wheelbase of almost 3 meters. The 001 comes to our country in three versions and with two different powertrains. The Zeekr 001 Long Range RWD is the variant with the largest electric range. On the rear axle is a 272 hp and 343 Nm strong electric motor with which the Zeekr 001 reaches 100 km / h from standstill in 7.2 seconds. Its top speed is 200 km/h and that is the case for all versions. The Zeekr 001 Long Range RWD has a 100-kWh battery pack in its bottom, just like any other 001. This variant kicks it up to a range of 620 kilometers. Fast charging is possible with 200 kW. It costs €60,490 in the Netherlands.

For more electro fun, check out the Zeekr 001 Performance AWD and Privilege AWD. Those two four-wheel drives both have two electric motors with 544 hp and 686 Nm, good for a 0-100 sprint in just 3.8 seconds. So pretty fast. The 001 Performance AWD can travel up to 590 kilometers on a full battery. It costs €63,490 in the Netherlands. For the 001 Privilege AWD you will have to pay at least €68,490. Unlike the Long Range RWD and Performance AWD, the Privilege does not have coil springs, but air suspension and an adaptive chassis. The Long Range RWD is on 21-inch alloy, the Performance AWD and Privilege AWD have 22-inch footwear.

The Zeekr 001 Long Range RWD can pull 1,500 kilos, the two four-wheel drive units can drag a maximum of 2,000 kg. Regardless of the chosen power source, you have a luggage compartment of 539 liters.

Equipment

The Zeekr 001 Long Range RWD already has LED matrix lighting, an electrically operated tailgate and a panoramic glass roof as standard. An electrically adjustable steering wheel, heated rear seats, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, dual-zone climate control and 12-way adjustable front seats are always available. The same goes for an induction charger, an 8.8-inch digital instrument panel, a 14.7-inch head-up display, a 15.4-inch infotainment screen and a Yamaha audio system with eight speakers. An extensive range of passive and active safety systems, as well as an autonomous parking system, are also standard.

The Performance AWD adds – in addition to a different powertrain – more powerful braking. In addition to air suspension, the Privilege AWD also has ventilated front seats with massage function, climate control divided over three zones, a ‘perfume system’ and a more extensive audio system with 12 speakers. In addition, the Privilege variant has an extra 5.7-inch screen for the rear passengers. According to Zeekr, with the 001 Privilege AWD with air suspension you also have to work off-road, as you can increase its ground clearance by up to 8.3 centimeters.

Fun fact: the 001 is Zeekr’s first production model and actually started life as a Lynk & Co concept car. It is therefore not surprising that it – just like the Zeekr X – shows style elements that you may recognize from Lynk & Co.
