The Dutch market has once again gained a Chinese car brand that focuses entirely on electric cars. Volvo’s Chinese parent company is bringing Zeekr to the Netherlands. The Zeekr X is one of the first two electric models to come to the Netherlands. Now it is known what the crossover will cost.
The Zeekr X is an electric crossover that you can consider as a sister model to other electric compact newcomers such as the Smart #1 and the Volvo EX30. Like the models mentioned, the Zeekr X is based on the modular SEA platform of the giant Chinese car manufacturer Geely. The Zeekr X is 4.32 meters long and has a wheelbase of 2.75 meters. This makes it about 10 centimeters longer than the Volvo EX30 and about 6 centimeters longer than the Smart #1. The wheelbase is the same as that of the Smart and is therefore 10 centimeters longer than that of the EX30. The Zeekr X will cost a minimum of €45,990 in the Netherlands. Up to 440 kilometers electrically
The starting price of €44,990 concerns the Zeekr X with 272 hp and 343 Nm strong electric motor on the rear axle. With this, the Chinese sprints from a standstill to 100 km / h in 5.6 seconds. Its top speed is 180 km/h. This Zeekr X Long Range RWD has a 69 kWh battery pack and is good for a range of up to 440 WLTP kilometers. Fast charging is possible up to 150 kW. The Volvo EX30 is available with this electric motor from €36,795, but then has a smaller battery pack. The EX30 with exactly the same powertrain as the Zeekr X Long Range RWD is the EX30 Single Motor Extended Range which is available from €41,495. The Zeekr X Long Range RWD is the only variant that qualifies for a SEPP purchase subsidy, as the fiscal price is €44,990.
The Zeekr X Privilege AWD delivers more electrical power. It has two together 428 hp and 543 Nm strong electric motors and is therefore considerably faster. It reaches 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds. It stands on 20 instead of 19-inch alloy and has an electric range of 400 kilometers. This version also has the 69 kWh battery and can charge up to 150 kW fast.
Zeek X
The Zeekr X is overloaded with sharp lines and has a front that wouldn’t look out of place on a model from Lynk & Co. That is not surprising, because Zeekr in a sense stems from that Geely daughter. The rear lights are made up of 229 LEDs and you will find an illuminated brand emblem between the light units. The car is available with a glass roof with an area of 1.21 square meters. The luggage space of each Zeekr X is 362 liters and each power source can tow a maximum of 1,600 kilograms. The Zeekr has a heat pump as standard.
In the interior you will find, among other things, a digital instrument panel with a diagonal of 8.8 inches. In the center of the dashboard is an infotainment screen that is considerably larger with a diameter of 13.6 inches and with which you can operate or set almost all functions. Zeekr supplies the X with, among other things, a huge 24.3-inch head-up display with augmented reality.
Zeekr X and the Netherlands
The Zeekr X can be ordered immediately in the Netherlands. The car can be viewed up close in Zeekrs from the end of this year flagship store in Amsterdam.
