What is striking when you look for used cars with seven seats are the asking prices and the mileage. Quite a few MPV used cars have a lot of experience, but still have to yield thousands of euros. After all, space does not wear out. We also see quite a few copies that, in addition to a high mileage, also have a modest number of previous owners, which indicates that an MPV is usually less likely to be sold by its owner. Buy, first ‘play’ family life, only then sell again. If you want to use a car for longer, this can of course lead to some economy, so that a car may be awarded more maintenance. But whether the certainty through extra maintenance nullifies the traces of use of a large family in the interior emotionally?

Opel Zafira, 2009, 96,152 km, €9,950

In any case, this is not an issue with the first car. The car originates from 2009 and from the first owner, but seems to have had a quiet life – also witnessed by the mileage. Moreover, it is a luxury version with a striking upholstery color that has been preserved quite well. We do need almost the entire budget of €10,000 for it, but then you also seem to be getting into a pretty fresh car. With seven seats.

Opel Zafira OPC, 2002, 292,675 km, €4,750

The next – and last – Opel Zafira in the list is a bit older and has a lot more experience, but is a nice OPC. They not only had almost 200 hp, but were also fully equipped. Leather upholstery, seat heating, air conditioning, cruise control … it’s all there. The provider indicates that it is a well-maintained copy, so perhaps it is the reason to buy one of the few MPVs with a performance label in history.

Hyundai Trajet, 2005, 278,498 km, €3,199

An almost forgotten name: the Hyundai Trajet. Just like the OPC above, this copy has leather upholstery, cruise control and heated seats, but also climate control. It is a car from the time when Hyundais were still real plastic fantastic were inside, but if you look past that, you’re driving something pretty exotic. And that for just over €3,000.

Ford Grand C-max, 2012, 164,747 km, €8,645

If it is all a bit more modern, then you can go for this Ford Grand C-max. Again a fairly richly equipped car, but from a somewhat later era and even with a turbo engine. However, not the entire budget has to be spent on it, while the mileage is still far from astronomical. Only drawback: the third row of seats of this car seems to be the perfect one for small children only.

Honda FR-V, 2005, 169,008 km, €5,950

A multi-seater car in which legroom is not an issue is the Honda FR-V. And yes, we are smuggling a bit, because we are of course dealing with a 6 instead of 7 seater here. Still, the FR-V gets an honorable mention, because a Multipla layout; very few models have that. Another nice detail is the sticking lever for the manual gearbox protruding from the vertical part of the dashboard. This copy also looks neat on its alloy wheels and the sleek interior also looks fresh. In addition, the asking price for the generally relatively stable FR-V is quite okay.

Dacia Logan MCV, 2009, 95,653 km, €6,950

And from six seats we go to six doors, because that is the (only) unique selling point of the Dacia Logan MCV. Furthermore, it is a nice no-nonsense thing with proven technology, a little sparkling design and a lot of space. Again we are dealing with a relatively pristine specimen that has been spared excessive wear and tear from heavy family use. The asking price is quite hefty for a Logan, but this is probably a sustainable choice that you can enjoy for years to come. It just lacks cruise control.

Toyota Avensis Verso, 2004, 87,638 km, €6,744

We close the list with another solid choice and another six-seater, because this Avensis Verso is configured with six seats. They are nice and spacious seats where adults can also sit well, but that is also allowed with such an oversized model. It is also the only car in this list with an automatic transmission. It also seems to be the only one with significant damage, but put the relatively inexperienced technique against it and the already not exorbitant asking price is justifiable.

This list mainly serves to illustrate what is possible if you are looking for a multi-seater car. We didn’t necessarily select the ‘best’ Zafiras, Avensissen and Logans from the range, so be sure to check out our used car range yourself. Which model had you not yet thought of?
