Based on Amarok PanAmericana
The caravan salon in Düsseldorf has started and Volkswagen parks not only the concept for the new California, but also an Amarok equipped as a camping vehicle. Which one can you approve of?
The German company Genesis Import has developed items especially for the Volkswagen Amarok that you can use to transform the pick-up into a camper in a sense. It is now showing these things for the first time on the Volkswagen stand at the caravan fair in Düsseldorf, where the new California Concept is also located. The set includes, among other things, an aluminum attachment to turn the cargo box into an enclosed space, a roof tent and a decent awning.
Genesis Import also designed a drawer unit that fits in the loading platform of the Amarok and a kind of fold-out kitchen for the side, so that you can prepare a meal dry under the awning. The images show the camping package mounted on a raised PanAmericana version of the Amarok, but it can also be used with the ‘regular’ version of the car.
The cover-with-camping equipment for the loading area, the drawer unit, the roof tent and the awning can be ordered directly from genesis-import.de. An official Dutch pricing will not be communicated.
