It has been a while since Opel presented the electric Astra Electric. The Opel Astra Electric was already presented digitally in November 2022 and now we finally know what the electric Astra should cost. It is available from just under €40,000.
The starting price of the Opel Astra Electric is €39,999. That price applies to the Astra Electric as a five-door hatchback. The Astra Sports Tourer – the station wagon – will also be available with an electric powertrain. The price of that Astra Sports Tourer Electric will not be released until later. The Astra Electric (hatchback) not only comes in a nameless basic version, but also as a sporty GS. The price of the Opel Astra Electric GS is set at €42,999. With both versions you are also eligible for the SEPP purchase subsidy.
What the Opel Astra Electric Sports Tourer should cost will only be known later.
The Opel Astra Electric has a lower entry price than the Peugeot e-308, even after its recent price reduction. After all, the Peugeot e-308 is available from €43,585. The Peugeot e-308 can already be ordered as a station wagon.
Range Opel Astra Electric
Regardless of the chosen version, the Opel Astra Electric has the well-known 156 hp and 270 Nm strong electric motor. The car weight is 1,679 kilograms. That is of course a considerable weight for a C-segmenter, but for an EV in this class that weight is not too bad. The battery pack has a capacity of 54 kWh and helps the Astra Electric to a range of up to 418 kilometers. Fast charging is possible with a maximum of 100 kW and the top speed of the Opel Astra Electric is set at 170 km/h. The luggage space is just like that of an Astra Plug-in Hybrid 352 liters. An Astra with a conventional petrol engine takes 422 litres. If you throw the back seat flat, you can carry 1,268 liters of stuff.
