Max Verstappen writes history with tenth F1 victory in a row

Max Verstappen has achieved his tenth consecutive victory in Formula 1 at the Monza circuit and is now the only record holder with the most consecutive victories in the premier class of motorsport. Until Sunday, the two-time world champion shared the record of nine victories in a row with the German Sebastian Vettel.

The Red Bull driver won the Italian Grand Prix with force majeure. Much to the dissatisfaction of Ferrari fans, who hoped for success from Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc on their home circuit, but had to see that the Spaniard and the Monegasque in their red cars were less fast than Verstappen’s Red Bull and also his teammate Sergio Pérez.

Red Bull’s Mexican dueled with the two Ferraris in the final phase and managed to pass them both. It earned him second place. Sainz finished third, Leclerc fourth.

With his twelfth victory this season, Verstappen extended his immense lead in the championship even further and is heading for his third world title.
