Spy shots Audi Q3

The current second generation Audi Q3 has now been with us for about five years. After the disappearance of the current model, there will be one more Q3 that will be available with combustion engines. It is the new Q3 that can be seen for the first time on these spy plates.

All Audi A and Q models with an even number after the name will become EVs and all A and Qs with an odd number will have a combustion engine. This means that the A4 will soon be called A5 and the current A6 will be succeeded by a car called A7. This has no consequences for the Audi Q3, after all the Q3 already has combustion engines and the Q4 e-tron is already an EV. The current Audi Q3 has been in operation since 2018 and will be succeeded within a few years by the completely new Q3 that you see in these photos.

Just like Audis such as the Q4 e-tron, the soon to be released electric Q6 e-tron and the yet to be unveiled A6 e-tron, the new Audi Q3 also has a front in which the lighting is divided over two layers. On this captured test sample, the flat upper light units containing the daytime running lights are clearly visible. They sit on either side of a grille that can be described as immense, even by Audi standards. We can also see the shape of the rear lights shining through the psychedelic camouflage print.

The new Audi Q3 will again be a technical brother of cars such as the Volkswagen Tiguan, but will also have a new sister model from Cupra. That brand recently showed the first photos of the Terramar. Under the completely new sheet metal of the Q3, we expect to encounter the MQB platform again, just like under the new Tiguan. There will undoubtedly be another Q3 Sportback derivative with a more sloping roofline. We expect Audi to show more of the new Q3 next year. Count on the arrival of a set of plug-in hybrid powertrains and Audi will undoubtedly load the model with an extra spicy RS sauce.
