Just wait a little longer

The Ram 1500, a big pick-up that we also see remarkably often in the Netherlands, will soon get a new nose. At least that is the suggestion created by the rather striking camouflage material on this specimen.
The Ram 1500 has existed in its current form since 2019. It is the fifth generation of this model, which was called ‘Dodge Ram 1500’ before 2011. The 1500 is a kind of weight class and makes it a direct competitor for the Ford F-150 and the ‘1500’ editions of the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra. This latest edition of the Ram 1500 is appreciated by many and comes closer to the number 2 position of the sales rankings in the US than ever before, although that spot is usually not quite reached. Ford and GM are apparently too powerful. This is different in the Netherlands: of all American pick-ups, the Ram is by far the most popular here. The undersigned once drove it around extensively for a double test and immediately picked up another Ram for that year’s end-of-year video, because it was great. But we digress.
The same Ram is now ready for a facelift. Unfortunately, we cannot make much more of it than that, because the camouflage material takes its task very seriously and what we do see does not differ from the current model. The only exception to this are the rear lights, which could be slightly different than is currently the case with the basic models. Ram supplies the 1500 with two different rear light units and in the Netherlands we actually only see the more expensive LED variant, but this also seems to contain a little more red. Don’t pay too much attention to the enormous mirrors, which are part of a ‘tow package’, a special option package for those who often want to travel with enormous trailers. The interior, which was actually photographed, also shows hardly any visible differences from what we already know from the 1500.
It could well be that Ram takes this opportunity to connect the regular Ram 1500 more closely to the more recent electric variant. That Ram 1500 REV has a slightly different front and rear and that will undoubtedly remain the case, but that does not alter the fact that the two may optically creep slightly towards each other. What exactly the facelift Ram will look like remains to be seen, but know that it exists!
