Pedaling in a Peel P50

All kinds of special cars pass by on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife, but now one has passed by that really has no business there at all: the Peel P50.
The weekend is just around the corner, so it’s high time for some light-hearted entertainment. In this case, British driver Max Fewtrell takes care of this, who drove a very special lap around the Nürburgring-Nordschleife for YouTube channel Quadrant. He took to the track in a Peel P50, the world’s smallest ‘car’ ever. There is only room for the driver and he has access to a 50 cc single-cylinder from DKW and four gears.
Bottom line, the P50 is actually more of a kind of three-wheeled gear moped with a carriage on it. Not really something for the Nürburgring-Nordschleife. He was more at home in the elevator of the BBC’s headquarters than Jeremy Clarkson did years ago Top Gear drove in with a Peel P50. According to the current rules for Tourist Fahrten, the P50 is not allowed on the Nordschleife at all, so Fewtrell had to work during sunset in a time slot of just under 40 minutes. The more than 20 km long circuit had to be completed within that time. He succeeded: in just over 25 minutes he was at the end of his perilous journey. Below you can see how he fared:
