100 hp now also with automatic transmission – better standard equipment

Kia Stonic loses strongest engine version and becomes more expensive

The price list of the Kia Stonic now looks different than before. The Kia Stonic loses its strongest engine version. The 100 hp 1.0 T-GDI remains and is now also available with an automatic transmission. Furthermore, Kia increases the prices of the Stonic, but at the same time also improves the standard equipment of the model.

The Kia Stonic always had and always has a mild-hybrid powertrain. Until recently you could go for a 100 hp 1.0 T-GDI with manual gearbox, or for a 120 hp 1.0 T-GDI that, in addition to a manual gearbox, could also be connected to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The 120 hp 1.0 T-GDI will disappear from the price list. The 1.0 T-GDI that produces 100 hp will continue to exist. From now on, that machine is no longer only available with a manual transmission. This 100 is now also available with the seven-speed automatic transmission.

Depending on the selected version, the prices of the Kia Stonic with 100 hp mild-hybrid 1.0 T-GDI with manual gearbox will increase by €1,050 to €2,350. The prices of the two versions positioned at the bottom will increase the most. The Kia Stonic 1.0 T-GDI now costs €25,995 as an entry-level ComfortLine version. €2,350 more than before. The DynamicLine will become €2,050 more expensive and will now change hands from €27,295. The Stonic with 100 hp 1.0 T-GDI and manual gearbox is also available as DynamicPlusLine, GT-Line and GT-PlusLine.

The Kia Stonic with the same 100 hp mild-hybrid 1.0 is now also available with an automatic transmission. The Kia Stonic with this engine and transmission is available from the DynamicLine version and costs €29,795. It is also available as DynamicPlusLine, GT-Line and GT-PlusLine.

Equipment improved

As mentioned, the prices of the Kia Stonic with manual gearbox are increasing. But Kia does give you more equipment in exchange for your extra euros. For example, the standard ComfortLine version now has traffic sign recognition, adaptive cruise control, a reversing camera, a speed limiter and an infotainment system with navigation. The DynamicLine is also improving. In this variant you now have standard electrically operated rear windows (previously from DynamicPlusLine), LED rear lights (ditto). The DynamicLinePlusLine now has heated front seats and a heated steering wheel as standard.
