MG also wants to get a share from the still well-filled SEPP subsidy pot at the end of the year. It introduces a new entry-level version of the electric MG Marvel R. The electric MG Marvel R was only available in two versions for a long time. Boarding was possible from €49,485 in the Luxury version with a 70 kWh battery and 179 hp of electric power. Above this is the €52,485 Performance, which also has the 70-kWh battery, but which is a lot more powerful with 288 hp and 665 Nm. With both engine versions you are not entitled to the SEPP purchase subsidy, because the fiscal price of both variants is above 45 grand. MG now comes with a new entry-level version of the Marvel R, with which you are eligible for a €2,950 purchase subsidy. This is the MG Marvel R Comfort.
Just like the Marvel R Luxury and Performance, the MG Marvel R Comfort has the well-known 70 kWh battery on board. It even has the same 179 hp and 410 Nm strong drivetrain as the Luxury. The new entry-level version of the Marvel R can also travel 402 kilometers on a full battery. The differences are mainly in the equipment.
For example, unlike the Luxury, the Marvel R Comfort does not have a 360-degree camera. The Comfort’s tailgate also does not open by waving your foot under the bumper. In addition, you do not get an automatically dimming interior mirror, no inductive charger, a less extensive infotainment system that you cannot control with your voice and you also have to forget about the half-leather furniture. Front seat heating? Not present either, nor ventilated front seats. The Marvel R Comfort costs €44,485, making it €5,000 cheaper than the Marvel R Luxury.
