Electric i-models are in the running

Almost all BMWs are hundreds to thousands of euros more expensive

Almost all BMW models in the Netherlands cost several hundred to sometimes many thousands of euros more expensive across the board. Only the brand’s electric i-models escape the painful dance of price increases.

BMW is implementing an interim price adjustment on virtually its entire model range. BMW’s electric models, such as the iX1, iX3, i4, i5, i7 and iX, are skipped. The new prices will take effect on January 1, 2024. In some cases the price increases are certainly not lenient. Although some plug-in hybrid engine versions will only increase in price by a few tens of euros, the engine versions without a plug will become several thousand euros more expensive. In the case of some diesel versions and sporty M versions, the price increase is sometimes €10,000 or more. The price increase is partly related to higher recycling contributions and adjustments in the BPM amounts. We are still awaiting an explanation from the Dutch importer.

To prevent our website from being completely filled with articles about price increases per model today and in the coming days, we are compressing everything as much as possible into this article. As a result, it is not possible to provide detailed information on the price increase of each engine version per model. We generally stick to the minimum and maximum price increase.
