Moto Morini Corsaro 750: Art in motion

Moto Morini has unveiled the all-new Corsaro 750 at the EICMA in Milan. According to the Italians, the new Trivolzio project is a reinterpretation of the brand’s historic model, the Corsaro, which embodies the values of the past while expressing defining elements of Moto Morini’s future.

Moto Morini Corsaro 750: Art in motion

Morini has not yet released much information, except for the basic technical specifications, but if the new Corsaro 750 is cut from the same cloth as the Corsaro 1200, the übernaked with which Moto Morini rose from its ashes with a thunderclap in 2006, then we dare not do without Having ridden it even a few feet, I can say that it will be a super cool bike.

The Corsaro 750 is powered by a completely newly developed 750 cc (forward, 749 cc) 90° V-twin, which gets its cylinder capacity from an oversquare bore x stroke of 90 x 58.9 mm. That’s less extreme than the Bialbero CorsaCorta 1,187cc V-twin of the Corsaro 1200, but still quite oversquare, which gives us the strong idea that it will have a nice sporty power delivery.

Morini claims a top power of 96 hp, but that was purely due to legislation, to immediately make the engine suitable for the A2 driving license. The maximum power that may be reduced to 35 kW according to the directive is double that, 70 kW. We have to make do with that information for now, the only other thing Morini specifies is that the block has a counter-rotating crankshaft.

Then the bicycle part, which consists of a half-timbered tubular frame with a fully adjustable upside down front fork at the front and double-sided swingarm with a centrally located monoshock with progressive link system. As for the brakes, Morini has teamed up with Brembo (anyone expected anything different?), with radial 4-piston monoblocs, 320 mm discs and a radial brake pump at the front and a single 220 mm disc with 2-piston caliper at the rear.

What else do we know? That the motorcycle has a wheelbase of 1,462 mm, a seat height of 820 mm and a dry weight of less than 200 kilos. The Italians have not yet released more than that.
