Toyota Proace City and Proace Worker: fresh air and more range

Stellantis’ entire van range was recently overhauled and you know that Toyota vans cannot be updated for long. We now get to see the refreshed Toyotas Proace City and Proace Worker.

We know, it’s suddenly very Toyota that’s all the rage this morning, but the Japanese have simply chosen to lump many revelations together. After the new Camry, Crown Signia and the more relevant electric Proace Max, we now consider two more electric Proaces, the smallest (Proace City) and the medium-sized (Proace Worker). Wait a minute, Proace Worker? A new name? That’s right, from now on the van previously simply called Proace has a name after it.

The refresher for the Toyota vans does not come out of the blue, of course, because Stellantis previously revised its van offering and these Toyotas are of course related to that. The innovations are therefore comparable. Both the Proace City and the Proace Worker now have a more densely worked front. So no more (optical or otherwise) grille between the headlights. Lower in the front, the two get a somewhat larger black recess.

There are of course also innovations that you do not immediately see, but that are relevant. Just like their Stellantis cousins, the Proace brothers get a longer driving range. From now on, the Proace City can travel 330 km (50 km further) and the Proace Worker can travel up to 340 km (20 km further). Count on the already well-known 136 hp electric motor for both vans. Toyota also talks about new steering wheels and improved infotainment. Toyota will reveal more details later this month.
